So Finally-

More news from us. Its April and the new CD, "Wishfire" is completed and in the hands of our record label. It is set to be mastered this month, and will appear in stores as early as August. It seems the higher our profile becomes, the longer it takes to get things through channels.

We've made some changes in the site- a link to lyrics, tour schedule etc on the opening page. Look around. We have tried to incorporate many of the suggestions people have sent us.

We have a lot of good news. The European Tour is going on as planned and we will be at Wav-Gothik-Treffen in Leipzig, the Dark Jubilee in London, headlining Tera Gotha III in the Netherlands, and playing Zillo with the Cure and Apop.

Stateside we will be playing at Dragoncon in Atlanta, and are in the process of setting up a very cool tour in the states. We have a new booking agency, and we are really looking forward to the next US go-round.

We will be playing five or six tracks from the new album at our live shows this year, so we are very excited about touring. But there is even bigger news:

THE CRUXSHADOWS SONG TEARS HAS BEEN IN THE TOP 20 ALTERNATIVE CHARTS FOR ALMOST 8 WEEKS NOW. THE D.A.C.(DEUTCH ALTERNATIVE CHARTS) IS WHERE CREED, POD, MARILYN MANSON,THE CURE, LINKIN PARK, MOBY, RAMSTEIN ETC. ARE ALSO CHARTING. WE DEBUTED AT #5 AND MOVED TO #2 WHERE WE STAYED FOR TWO WEEKS, BEFORE DROPPING TO THREE, AND THEN SEVEN.

I know, its silly to get excited about things like this, but its very refreshing to be the only non-major label band in a legitimate top 20 chart. Europe is so different in that the Independents aren't given a chance to compete with commercial bands for radio in the USA. Also, with all the work we've been immersed in, its nice to be taken seriously.

I would like to invite all of our fans to go to www.gothicawards.com and vote for us in the category of GREEN AWARD & BEST AMERICAN BAND. If your bored and have nothing to do, please write a review of one of our discs at Amazon.com, Barnes& noble.com, or another online retailer. These things really help us, and we do appreciate the effort.

There are also plans to release a special edition boxed version of Wishfire. It would have extra songs and be a limited edition kinda thing. I'll let you know how that developes.

Well thats it for now. Be sure to check out the online store. There are a few new/newish things there. Hopefully we'll see you on tour in the coming days.

Much love-

Rogue

Hello everyone...

The Tears CDs are set to be released Monday the 5th of February. I'd like to encourage everyone to go out and get one. Fictional and Apoptygma Berzerk each have remixed our new track (Tears)...and I think we will definitely gain some ground on the dancefloors, so be sure and make a request (for Tears) from your local DJ.

Touring- well we're headed back to Europe. We will be playing at WAVE- GOTIK- TREFFEN 2002 in Leipzig Germany on May the 19th in the Agra Hall (12,000 Capacity). And if all goes well we will make it back to a few more festivals, I really enjoy Europe, and it looks like this year we will make it to Austria, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, and a few more. We're currently booking dates, so if you know any promoters in the EC then please tell them to go to www.wod.de for booking arrangements for Europe.

You may have noticed the online store is up and running. I know- its about time. We opened with a few items and will be adding more in the coming weeks. Let us know what kinds of products we should include and we'll do our best.

The new album is coming along nicely. We started work when we returned from touring in December. I do have to apologize however for the inability of the band, myself, and our limited staff to answer all the email. We are just overwhelmed with work. We do try to respond as often as time permits...but in case we didn't get to you, please understand we are trying. Ok, enough lame excuses...

To all of you who continue to help our popularity by converting fans, requesting songs, ordering our stuff in the stores, and supporting the online store...please keep it up. You are the bands best asset and with your help I know we can have a huge impact on the scene worldwide. All of the pieces are in place, now we just have to make it happen.

If you have any requests for things we can add to the web site...drop us an email. cruxshadows@cruxshadows.com.

Well, that's it for now. Much love-

Rogue

Home sweet home...

After being on the road almost 8 months and doing close to 100 shows this year, we are finally back home. I hope you will forgive the infrequency of my posts but it seems I am overwhelmed, and I have been unable to keep up with everything. To all of you who have sent us email...please forgive the lack of response. We have been flooded with so much mail....but we do read it. So many of you have sent us words of appreciation and thanks, and I have to say that these mean a great deal to us.

We will not be playing any more shows until the Spring. We will be working on our new album, and that should occupy us until we begin our European tour in May. In the mean time, we will be releasing a single entitled Tears that will feature remixes from two of my favorite bands, Fictional and Apoptygma Berzerk. The single will also have some live footage on it...and some other surprises as well.

We had a lot of fun in Europe this year and the fans were amazing. We played with some spectacular bands including Clan of Xymox, Ikon, Icon of Coil, Diary of Dreams, And One, Funker Vogt, VNV Nation, and Mesh. Most of these guys are really nice. Our label Dancing Ferret Discs and our booking agency Wings of Destiny did a fabulous job. To anyone who has ever considered going to any of the festivals...you should definitely go.

Our US tour was pretty amazing as well. Bella Morte became much like family to us, and the 70+ shows in the USA we played together solidified friendships that I think will last a lifetime. Voltaire made it out to play a few of those shows with us. Over the years Voltaire has become a friend and it is always an honor to share the stage with him. One of those shows was Dragoncon, and the 3000 people who saw that show know why that is our favorite date to play in America. You can't beat the energy of that many people.

In Europe we put out Intercontinental Drift (limited edition) and in America Echoes and Artifacts. Basically the same disc with a few minor differences. Thanks to all who bought a copy, the sales from those CDs are the primary funding mechanisms for our tours. Not to change subjects but while i'm thinking of it- Our website has received almost 50,000 hits since it went up one year ago. That's 4,000 or so a month. Please keep up your visits and we will try to add some more downloads, pics, etc. not to mention get our online store open for business.

Well I think that's enough rambling for now. If anyone has photos to post, please send them to cxswebmaster@yahoo.com. Hopefully we can get them up soon.

Take care &Happy Holidays...

Best-

Rogue
